Miniature Pig & Pet Pig Registration

 

Registration :

 

Registrations are not refundable.

All miniature pigs/pigs, to be registered are to be DNA tested with Genetic Technology of Australia,

be microchip and recorded with the Australasian Animal Registry and Microchip.

A copy of this information is attached to the registration application.

 

The height of a miniature pig or pig is measured to the front shoulder.

   *  A Miniature Pig is to be 60cm or shorter to the front shoulder. 

   * Measurements for a miniature pig are to be by a licenced veterinarian 

   at 12 months of age and again at 24 months of age and to be signed   

   and dated by the veterinarian

   * A Reference Pig to be 61cm or higher to the front shoulder.

 

Applications for Registrations to the Association must be on an official registration form that is available from the Secretary or on the association’s web-site and sent to the associations Official Registry, with the correct registration fees.

   *  The form is to be filled out by the applicant, signed and dated.

   *  All attachments that are required for the registration are to  

       accompany the application.

   * The Official Registry will process each new registration received 

        without prior approval from the Committee.

   *  If the Committee deems the registration inappropriate, a full refund

       will be given to the applicant for registration.

   *  Any changes to a registration will require a new application.

   *  All registrations are to be paid and approved before registration is

       accepted by the Association.

 

 

Registrations for - Miniature Pigs, Pet Pigs and their Litters

 

Main Registration - Reference Registration - Limited Registration - Piglet Recorded

 

Main Registration of a Miniature Pig is:

   *  Miniature Pig intended for breeding.

   *  Miniature Piglet (both parents must be on Main Registration with the MPPPA.

   *  Not spayed (desexed)

   *  Parents to measure 60cm to the front shoulder or shorter.

   *  To be measured by a licenced veterinarian at 12 months and again at

       24 months of age.

   *  DNA recorded by Genetic Technologies of Australia and a copy

       forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.

   *  Be microchip and recorded with the Australasian Animal Registry

       and a copy forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.

 

Reference Registration of a Pig is:

   *  Pig intended for breeding.

   *  Piglet (both parents must be on Reference Registration with the MPPPA.

   *  Not spayed (desexed)

   *  Parents to measure 61cm to the front shoulder or higher.

   *  DNA recorded by Genetic Technologies of Australia and a copy

       forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.

   *  Be microchip and recorded with the Australasian Animal Registry and  

       a copy forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.

 

Limited Registration of a Pig is:

   *  Pig of any size.

   *  Spayed (desexed)

   *  Be microchip and recorded with the Australasian Animal Registry    

       and a copy forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.

 

Piglet Recorded is:

   *  All litters of piglets born from a Main/Reference Registered sow.

   *  One (1) litter of piglets from each registered sow per calendar year.

   *  With a two (2) month grace for registration.

   *   Be microchip and recorded with the Australasian Animal Registry  

       and a copy forwarded to the Official Registry with registration form.
